Joseph Clifton

Joseph was formally trained as a jazz pianist and piano tuner in Chicago. He began piano tuning in 2018 and has tuned for various universities including Loyola, North Park, and Rosevelt University. He has also done concert tunings for Chicago performance venues including Garcias, Winters jazz club, and the Chicago Theatre. Joseph has an attention for detail and takes pride in delivering high quality tunings for clients. 

Joseph has been an active member of the Chicago Jazz scene Since 2017. He began studying piano in 2001 at the age of five. His mentors include Benny Green, Bobby Broom, Dennis Luxion, and Chris White. Joe has experience as a bandleader, arranger and sideman with his trio, singers and other instrumentalists. His classical training has allowed him to work as a successful church musician and accompanist for choirs. Joseph's musical influences include Ray Charles, Oscar Peterson, Bud Powell, Phineas Newborn, Cedar Walton, Horace Silver and Bill Evans.
